Or I do a completely different thing
I don’t need Intro to Gender Studies (I mean I do) but I don’t really want it. I have enough theorising about abstract stuff in my regular curriculum and I always end up mixing gender studies in there anyway.
I should do something like… Entrepreneurship. Or Global Corporate Management. I should do something like that because I always feel entirely lost when the bisnis boys talk about that shit and I hate feeling stupid like that and I know I’m not. littlekidstompingherfootinprotest.jpg
PLUS: Global Corporate Management has a class called Organization Of The Firm. Which is a) clearly about the mafia and b) the coolest name of a lecture since KFOR.
OK
I will NOT finish the lit. requirements for the Scandinavistics this semester. The classes suck. The most modern class is on Strindberg. I want something like Self-Hatred And Alcoholism In Modern Scandinavian Literature or Really Gross Novels: We’re Not All Children From Bullerby, You Cuntasses! What do I get? Fucking folk fairy tales* and a lecture that’ll probably just be speculations about whether H.C. Andersen was gay or not.**
I can, however, finish the lit. EC I chose for whatever reason. Probably because it’s cheap as fuck. Lit. lectures are easy peasy and you get 5 ECTS for one. I won’t have a seminar on media bullshit but one of my favourite professors has a lecture that’ll probably be just that, so I’m taking it. Possibly something called “crash course Old Germanic language, literature and culture” as well, depending on whether I need that particular class or not.
Maybe I’ll start the Gender Studies intro EC because like… I don’t have it? I AM missing the fundamentals but I don’t know if I can stand to sit in a room with the first semester cultural anthropology hippies every other week. There’ll be group work and those people have dreadlocks and opinions!

** Probably. Doesn’t make The Little Mermaid less sad though.
