Sometimes I watch good movies, too: I found the most impressive part about Shame to not be Michael Fassbender’s penis (I mean, yeah, nice) but the soundtrack. Be it the baroqu(-ish) music, the cheesy 80s tunes or Carey Mulligan’s slow, jazzy version of New York, New York. The music selection in this movie was absolutely amazing and I really hope that the music supervisor got some credit in circles that actually know about this stuff.

And of course, Steve McQueen is great at capturing atmospheres with very little and Michael Fassbender is a brilliant actor and even Carey Mulligan was less annoying than usually but really, it is mostly the use of music that I will remember about this movie.
