I’ve been listening to this compilation (which is awesome and you should get it) so much that I get downright irritated when I hear the original song that these songs are based on. If you play me “Runaround Sue” I will crease my brows because I only listen to “I’m no runaround” and Dodie Steven’s “Yes, I’m lonesome tonight” is far more familiar to me than the original song.
