It really starts to frustrate me

how little I am learning at this job. I did not learn all that much new stuff in Hamburg after the initial two months but a) I was paid and b) I lived in an awesome city. Now my payment is five meals a week and living in the company flat. That is located in a boring small town.

I took this job solely because it was in Sweden and because I had hoped to learn some skills. It’s okay to not get paid for five and a half months, if you learn something, I thought. It’s a tough economy! You study two of the top 10 future unemployment studies! However, I’m not learning much here. Sure, I learned how to use the company’s products but apart from that, I only improved preexisting skills. I have had very little sales training (and that’s my job title!) and close to no SEO training (which I’ve specifically asked for and been assured I’d get). And let’s not talk about the fact that I actually have a lot of responsibilites but neither power nor trust comes along with that.

I have been at a point, several times, where I thought about screwing it all and going back home but despite all my frustration, I’m still a rat in a cage and I want a positive letter of reference.
