I was somehow convinced it had 25, 26°C and felt like a wuss because it was bringing me down. Everything is exhausting and sweaty and gross and I cannot concentrate on anything. I just checked the weather report though and it currently has 34°C! That’s 93.2 Fahrenheit, Americans! That’s almost a hundred! That’s really fucking hot! No wonder I can’t do anything but drink water and sigh about the heat.

Die Verengung auf Merkel ist ein deutliches Zeichen der Fan-Beziehung. Die völlig subjektive Zuschreibung, erst seit Merkel interessiere sich die Welt für Deutschland, ist gleich doppeltypisch: das eigene Empfinden wird der Welt zugeschrieben, eigentlich müsste der Satz von Marusha lauten: seit Merkel interessiere ich mich für Deutschland. Natürlich hat Marusha aber mitbekommen, dass Merkel in anderen Ländern für größte Verstimmungen gesorgt hat, bestimmt hat sie mit Tränen der Wut in den Augen die hakenkreuzbeschmierten Merkelplakate gesehen. Deshalb sagt sie “interessiert sich für Deutschland”, ein absurder Euphemismus, mit der noch die letzte, enttäuschte, verzweifelte, wütende Reaktion als “Interesse” schöngefabelt wird.

Ich hab das Welt-Interview mit Marusha nicht gelesen, aber Sascha Lobos Analyse reicht vollkommen um zu wissen, dass man das ohnehin nicht ernst nehmen kann.

I wish the carpenter that announced himself for 9 a.m. today had actually come at 9 a.m. and not at 8:20 where he rung all of us out of the bed. I also wish he had told us, from the beginning, that he’d be here every day for the next one to two weeks. “I’ll be here every day for the next two weeks.” is a completely different message from “I’ll be coming about the windows on Monday.”.

Scandinavistics is the best department of the university
Us, the Danes, were a bit uncool because we sang no songs that were originally metal songs. The Norwegians sang a funny, cute song about a fish that had a metal chorus. The Icelanders folkified one.
Instruments present: Two guitars, three violins, two flutes, two cellos (celli?), one harp, one nyckelharpa, one of those boxes you drum on
Somebody brought their own drinking-horn and their own drinking-horn-holding-belt.
There was met but I didn’t get any
We were greeted with some hazelnut schnaps though and then there was all kinds of other alcohol. And a punch that was prepared by somebody that doesn’t drink and just dumped in vodka by instinct. Her instinct was to poison us.
